A formal military ceremony is taking place on the deck of a naval vessel at sea. A line of U.S. Navy sailors in dress blue uniforms hold rifles at attention while a senior petty officer renders a salute on the left. The overcast sky and open ocean are visible in the background, suggesting the ceremony may be a burial at sea or honors ceremony.
