Peoria, Ill. – Recruiters previously assigned to the 182nd Airlift Wing now fall under a new Illinois Air National Guard squadron assigned to the Illinois Joint Force Headquarters.
Staff Sgt. Olivia Hatton and Tech. Sgt. Sarah Reiman, both production recruiters working out of the 182nd Airlift Wing, received individual awards for outstanding performance during fiscal year 2025.
Approximately 265 Soldiers from the Illinois Army National Guard’s 2nd Battalion, 130th Infantry Regiment, headquartered in Marion, Illinois, with units based in Effingham, Litchfield, and Mt. Vernon, were greeted with cheers, hugs, and tears from friends and families at welcome home ceremonies Dec. 6 in Mascoutah and Rockford.
Approximately 155 Soldiers from the Illinois Army National Guard’s Pontiac-based A Troop, 2nd Squadron, 106th Cavalry Regiment protected U.S. personnel and equipment in the Horn of Africa from October 2024 to July 2025, improving the security posture in a strategically important part of the world.
