Three military personnel in tan/camouflage uniforms are working on a flight line near what appears to be an F-35 fighter jet. The ground crew members are wearing hearing protection headsets and appear to be conducting aircraft marshaling or maintenance operations on a tarmac. The tropical vegetation visible in the background suggests this is likely a Pacific region airbase.

Staff Sgt. Mathew Helms (center), 15th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron F-22 Raptor crew chief, and total-force personnel assist aircrew prior to generating training sorties March 4, 2022, at Hilo International Airport, Hawaii. Exercise participants were challenged to carry out their mission while being exposed to mock scenarios, such as broken equipment, security breaches, and depletion of resources. In addition, wing inspection and inspector general teams observed and evaluated how Airmen perform under adverse and alternative conditions, contributing to a report on how members can improve their best practices.
