On June 10, 2026, the 1st Armored Division Artillery opened its doors to families and young “Redlegs” for Jr. Redleg Day at Fort Bliss, Texas. This handsâon event gave family members an inside look at the daily physical demands, teamwork and operations of our modern artillery Soldiers. From exploring the inner workings of a Bradley Fighting Vehicle and swinging sledgehammers to launching waterâballoon catapults and digging in for a highâenergy tugâofâwar—with unit mascot Bombard cheering from the front—families experienced a full day of teamâbuilding and military life.
