Go behind the armor with the next generation of the Iron Division! On June 10, 2026, the 1st Armored Division Artillery opened its doors to families and young “Redlegs” for Jr. Redleg Day at Fort Bliss, Texas. This hands‑on event gave family members an inside look at the daily physical demands, teamwork and operations of our modern artillery Soldiers. From exploring the inner workings of a Bradley Fighting Vehicle and swinging sledgehammers to launching water‑balloon catapults and digging in for a high‑energy tug‑of‑war—with unit mascot Bombard cheering from the front—families experienced a full day of team‑building and military life. Thank you to all the Soldiers and families who came out to strengthen our community and make this year’s Jr. Redleg Day a success! (U.S. Army video by Staff Sgt. Felix Mena)
