Takoma Park, MD native, Stephane Yambaka has been promoted to the rank of Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. Yambaka is currently serving as NCOIC of Mental Health with 459th Air Refueling Wing, Joint Base Andrews, MD. TSgt Yambaka has served in the military for 16 years.
One aircraft from the Air Force Reserve’s 302d Airlift Wing repositioned to Idaho Aug. 25 to continue support for western wildfires. The wing has been providing aerial firefighting support in Colorado and Wyoming since August 9.
