PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 11, 2017) – Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class Ryan Sawhook inspects a .50 caliber Browning machine gun during a post fire aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). Post fire is maintenance that must be performed every time a weapon is fired. America is currently underway conducting routine operations in preparation for deployment later this year.
