As exercise Adamant Serpent 26 continues, Air Commandos from the 352d Special Operations Wing are training with NATO partners, refining tactics, techniques, and procedures, improving their warfighting readiness and building on the successes of each training opportunity.

United States and Swedish forces are participating, demonstrating advanced operational integration to rapidly deploy units to the Arctic and Subarctic regions, with essential support from NATO Allies Norway and Denmark.

“Adamant Serpent 26 is going very well,” said the Special Operations Task Group commander for exercise Adamant Serpent 26. “Our teams have several lessons learned and have made adjustments during the exercise to improve the efficiency and effectiveness. One of the major accomplishments is multinational infills of Allied Special Operations Forces under the cover of darkness, to three different locations via air, sea and ground. We also accomplished a high priority resupply to NATO ground forces, and we dropped a boat enabling further operations. Overall, this exercise is getting better every year, allowing us and our NATO partners to rehearse for any real-world event that may happen in the future.”

The 352d SOW performed operations with CV-22B Ospreys and MC-130J Commando IIs and were able to practice two no-notice, casualty evacuation training scenarios and enabled three combined training strikes with Sweden and U.S. operators on the ground.

“The exercise gives us the opportunity to work with different countries in different situations,” said the ASP26 SOTG commander. “I have learned so much from our NATO partners and we are building incredibly strong relationships that will continue to grow long into the future. Working side-by-side, we learn each other’s strengths and build comradery during training operations. Our NATO partners and 352d SOW are fostering a community that’s based on mutual respect and confidence as we prepare for any event. These exercises are vital to the security of Europe, and they are indispensable for the Alliance, allowing us to train, and prepare for anything we are tasked to do.”

Working side-by-side, Allied nations participating in exercise Adamant Serpent are demonstrating shared values, experience, trust, and a vision for a secure and prosperous NATO Alliance.
