U.S. Army Pfc. Mubashir Aweda, a military police officer assigned to the 603rd Military Police Company, 109th Military Police Battalion, pushes a loaded ammo can back to the start line during the physical lane portion of the Dark Knight race held at Ādaži Military Base, Latvia, Sept. 10, 2026. By requiring competitors low crawl and move weighted objects back to the start line, the lane challenged teams to communicate, think critically and determine the most effective way to retrieve objects of varying weights. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO Allies. V Corps is operationalizing and expanding the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative with Allies, rapidly integrating emerging technologies into training and tactical plans. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
