Illinois Army National Guard 2nd Lt. Lawrence Woods renders his first salute as a commissioned officer to Staff Sgt. Aaron Bott during the Illinois Army National Guard Officer Candidate School graduation and commissioning ceremony Aug. 16 in Normal. Woods was one of 22 Soldiers to complete the OCS program and one of 18 to commission during the ceremony. Woods, of Sauk Village, Illinois, branched as a logistics officer and is assigned to the 126th Quartermaster Company.
