Illinois Army National Guard 2nd Lt. Joseph Fisher renders his first salute as a commissioned officer to Sgt. (ret.) Jay Fisher during the Illinois Army National Guard Officer Candidate School graduation and commissioning ceremony Aug. 16 in Normal. Fisher was one of 22 Soldiers to complete the OCS program and one of 18 to commission during the ceremony. Fisher, of Worden, Illinois, branched as an engineer officer and is assigned to the 661st Engineer Company.
