Illinois Army National Guard 2nd Lt. Ashleigh Brown renders her first salute as a commissioned officer to Sgt. 1st Class Hind Salah during the Illinois Army National Guard Officer Candidate School graduation and commissioning ceremony Aug. 16 in Normal. Brown was one of 22 Soldiers to complete the OCS program and one of 18 to commission during the ceremony. Brown, of York, Illinois, branched as a logistics officer and is assigned to the 1844th Transportation Company.
