Illinois Army National Guard 2nd Lt. Kyle Holgorsen renders his first salute as a commissioned officer to U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. David Holgorsen during the Illinois Army National Guard Officer Candidate School graduation and commissioning ceremony Aug. 16 in Normal. Holgorsen was one of 22 Soldiers to complete the OCS program and one of 18 to commission during the ceremony. Holgorsen, of Davenport, Iowa, branched as a logistics officer and is assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 44th Chemical Battalion.
