Colonel Matthew Cannon, the incoming U.S. Army Kwajalein Atoll Commander and Command Spouse Mrs. Kate Cannon, have arrived on Kwajalein Atoll, along with incoming Command Sergeant Major Stanley L. Jackson, and they have begun their orientation of Kwajalein Atoll. They started by joining the outgoing Command Team of Col. Andrew Morgan and CSM Ernest Miller and families for a trip to Ebeye to meet with Iroijlaplap (Paramount Chief) Mike Kabua and Kwajalein Atoll Local Government (KALGOV) leaders. Col. Cannon and CSM Jackson continued with USAKA Command meetings and orientation of the island from team members overseeing those areas. The families then conducted a familiarization tour of Roi-Namur. This handover is an essential knowledge transfer from the sitting Command Team before the Change of Command and Change of Responsibility occurring June 4th.
