October 5th through the 11th was Fire Prevention week on USAG-KA. During this time, the fire house crews paid a visit to the schools on Kwajalein Atoll and even opened their Fire House doors for visiting RMI schools from Ebeye over a two-day period. Students were shown the vehicles, giving tours of the station, learned about fire safety and even got to use a hose to put out a simulated fire. Fire Prevention week is not only about learning fire safety but planting the seed for future Fire Fighters and Emergency workers.
