Several men are engaged in what appears to be a traditional cattle-handling event, with at least three individuals actively grappling with a light-colored bovine in a dusty, sandy arena. The scene is dynamic and energetic, with dust clouds rising from the ground as participants struggle to control the animal. Additional observers or participants are visible in the background.

Local men attempt to subdue a runaway bull during a Veterinary Civic Action Program, or VETCAP, in Daaba, Kenya, Aug. 5, 2012. The VETCAP involved local civilians, the Kenyan military, a local veterinarian, a representative from the international organization Veterinaires Sans Frontieres-Suisse, and civil affairs soldiers from Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, or CJTF-HOA. CJTF-HOA participates in many VETCAPs across East Africa, aiming to help strengthen the capabilities of community based animal health workers, ensure livestock health, enhance agriculture and economic stability and develop trust and confidence with partner nations.
