U.S. Army soldiers from the 448th Civil Affairs Battalion discuss the upcoming Veterinary Civic Action Program, or VETCAP, with Kenyan army soldiers and a local veterinarian in Daaba, Kenya, Aug. 3, 2012. The civil affairs battalion is assigned to Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, or CJTF-HOA. CJTF-HOA participates in many VETCAPs across East Africa, aiming to help strengthen the capabilities of community based animal health workers, ensure livestock health, enhance agriculture and economic stability and develop trust and confidence with our partner nations.
