    The 19th Public Affairs Detachment is the supporting public affairs element of the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, KS. For over 50 years, the 19th PAD has honorably served the Soldiers of the Big Red One. Our motto is: Hunting Excellence, a maxim that encapsulates our pursuit of the very best the Army has to offer. Our dedication to our craft enables the 1st Infantry Division to communicate its commander's intent to the public, our Army, and to our Soldiers and their Families.

Sergeant First Class Jefferey Williams was a beloved member of the Demon Brigade who passed away on December 24, 2023. 1st Lieutenant Derek S. Hines, died on September 1, 2005, in Baylough, Afghanistan. 1st Lt. Derek Hines was a close friend and teammate of Task Force Saber’s Former Commander, Lt. Col. Michael McLean.
