    U.S. Army V Corps

    U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 603rd Military Police Company, 109th Military Police Battalion, conduct their annual weapons qualification during the range operations portion of the 603rd Dark Knight competition at Ādaži Military Base, Latvia, Sept. 8, 2026. Qualifying on individual weapon systems is an annual Army requirement for Soldiers in order to remain proficient in Army marksmanship standards. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO allies. V Corps is operationalizing and expanding the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative with Allies, rapidly integrating emerging technologies into training and tactical plans.
