    U.S. Army Spc. RaNiya Corbin, a corrections and detention specialist assigned to the 603rd Military Police Company,109th Military Police Battalion, engages a target during the range qualification portion of the 603rd Dark Knight competition held at Ādaži Military Base, Latvia, Sept. 8, 2026. During the qualification, participants advanced toward targets while engaging them, testing their ability to deliver accurate shots without the stability of a stationary firing position. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO Allies.
