“The National Guard has given me the freedom to develop myself in my free time in order to be a better asset to my unit and a more well-rounded Soldier in general,” Garner said. “I am looking forward to land navigation, because being able to lead Soldiers through unforgiving terrain is a crucial skill and I enjoy being out there.”
The Region II Best Warrior Competition is an annual military event that tests Soldiers' military knowledge, strength and endurance and hosts soldiers and noncommissioned officers from Maryland, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia and Delaware.
