A terrain model is set up inside the tactical operations center of the 192nd Military Police Battalion, Connecticut Army National Guard, at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia, June 26th, 2022. Terrain models, which are used by soldiers to visualize the battlefield and create plans, can be made from simple materials like sand, sticks and string or can be as complex as using satellite imagery, info cards and or 3D printed models.
