On April 1, 2015, the Coast Guard stood up its 22nd rating, officially recognizing diving as a primary career path for Coast Guard men and women. Last week, Coast Guard Dive Locker West completed decompression dive training aboard Coast Guard Cutter George Cobb. While this wasn’t the service’s first decompression dive training, it was one of the first decompression dives made by rated Coast Guard divers.
