Irwin Army Community Hospital will begin a pharmacy construction project on Jan. 12, 2026, lasting through mid-March, to replace fire shutter doors and enhance patient and staff safety during emergency evacuations. While pharmacy operations will continue, patient interactions and prescription pickup will temporarily move to the lobby area in front of the pharmacy, and patients should expect longer wait times during construction.

Master Sgt. Dawn Ho, a long-serving member of the Kansas Army National Guard, overcame a career-threatening injury and the deep sense of failure that followed by finding a new purpose during her recovery. Through her own perseverance and the dedicated support of her leadership and the Soldier Recovery Unit, she successfully transitioned to a new career field and earned a prestigious selection to the Sergeants Major Academy for August 2026.
