On Oct. 6, 2025, MG Monté Rone, commanding general of the 1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley, joins COL Laudino Castillo, commander of Irwin Army Community Hospital, in recognizing the Fort Riley Public Health Department for becoming the first in the Department of Defense to achieve re-accreditation by the Public Health Accreditation Board. The distinction reaffirms Fort Riley’s commitment to delivering high-quality public health services that strengthen Soldier readiness and family confidence in the installation as the best place to live, work, deploy, and return home to.
