Dr. Misganaw’s poster features a study that identified dose-dependent genetic signatures and molecular mechanisms associated with blast induced traumatic brain injury (TBI). The study had numerous important findings, including the fact that the lungs and spleen exhibit genetic changes prior to the changes which occur in the brain, which paves the way for developing diagnostic tools for clinical use.
