SAN DIEGO (Aug. 19, 2025) — During a jaw-in-a-day procedure at Naval Medical Center San Diego, surgeons with the Maxillofacial Restoration Program position a 3D-printed surgical guide and secure implants onto the newly reconstructed jaw. The prefabricated guide ensures precise alignment of the bone and dental prosthesis, allowing the patient to wake from surgery with a functional, provisional set of teeth.
