5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Nov. 28, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Jocelyn Edens, from Chicago, removes the handles of an M299 launcher in the ordnance shop of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Edens serves aboard Ike as an aviation ordnanceman and helps inspect, repair and maintain ordnance. Ike and its carrier strike group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
