ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 7, 2016) Seaman Iesha Hernandez mans a sliding padeye station in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike) during a replenishment-at-sea with the fast combat support ship USNS Arctic (T-AOE 8). Hernandez works aboard Ike as a deck seaman and is responsible for ship preservation and deck seamanship. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
