A group of residents from a village alongside Colonel Ernesto Ravina Air Base, Philippines, gather for a key leader engagement with U.S. Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Oct. 4, 2016. During the meeting, the Marines and Philippine Air Force members discussed safety measures for local Philippine citizens during the upcoming Amphibious Landing Exercise 33 (PHIBLEX 33) between the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy and AFP. PHIBLEX is an annual U.S.-Philippine military bilateral exercise combining amphibious capabilities and live-fire training with humanitarian civic assistance efforts to strengthen interoperability and working relationships.
