ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 6, 2016) Petty Officer 2nd Class Stephen Harper operates a M240B machine gun during weapons safety familiarization training on the forecastle of the guided-missile cruiser USS San Jacinto (CG 56). Harper serves as an electronics technician on San Jacinto as is responsible for computer hardware maintenance aboard the ship. San Jacinto, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
