Petty Officer 3rd Class Anthony Spence hoses off the skin of the ship during a fresh water washdown aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS San Jacinto (CG 56). Spence serves as a boatswain's mate on San Jacinto and is responsible for maintaining the smartness of the ship. San Jacinto, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
