NORFOLK (Oct. 7, 2016) – Landing craft air cushion (LCAC) 89, attached to Naval Beach Group Two (NBG-2), prepares to enter the well deck of amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7). Iwo Jima is in port at Naval Station Norfolk to onload more than 500 Marines attached to 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit and nearly 300 pallets of supplies as Hurricane Matthew develops.
