U.S. and NATO flag and general officers gathered for a Distinguished Visitor (DV) Day as part of Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 25 aboard the Blue Ridge-class command and control ship USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20) on June 17.
SKIVE, Denmark (June 18, 2025) – Mine Countermeasures Group (MCMGRU) 6, designated as Commander Task Group (CTG) 1104.20, successfully led all mine countermeasures (MCM) operations during exercise Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 25, marking a significant milestone by operating under its own authority for the exercise.
U.S. Marines assigned to 3rd Platoon, Force Reconnaissance Company, 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, along with land forces from Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania, TĂĽrkiye and Ukraine kicked off Sea Breeze 25-1 in Smardan Range, Romania.
Sixteen NATO allies, more than 40 ships, 25 aircraft and approximately 9,000 personnel began the 54th iteration of Baltic Operations, or BALTOPS 25, with the start of the pre-sail conference, June 3, in the Baltic Sea region.
