Four Soldiers are the first to participate in an Emergency Management Pilot Program within the Skillbridge Program. The pilot emergency management internship program is in accordance with the Army’s Career Skills Program which develops the Soldiers skills and applies them to the civilian sector. This program has given retiring Soldiers the opportunity to obtain an emergency management internship with a civilian employer for up to six months.
The 63rd Readiness Division was activated under Major General Louis Hibbs during WWII as the 63rd Infantry Division on June 15, 1943 due to the Army's urgent need for combat power. They will celebrate their 80th birthday on June 9, 2023.
