U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to Expeditionary Resuscitative Surgical System team 9 and Suðurnes Health Institution Triage Team medical personnel treat a simulated casualty during an artificial mass casualty scenario as part of exercise Northern Viking 26 at Keflavík Air Base, Iceland, Aug. 30, 2026. The scenario brought U.S. military and civilian medical teams together with rescue personnel to practice receiving, stabilizing and transferring casualties following recovery operations.
