Icelandic paramedics prepare a simulated casualty for transport during an artificial mass casualty scenario as part of exercise Northern Viking 26 at Keflavík Air Base, Iceland, Aug. 30, 2026. NV26 integrated Icelandic medical teams with Icelandic Coast Guard personnel, the Icelandic Suðurnes Rescue Team and U.S. military medical and rescue personnel to practice casualty triage, movement and continued care.
