A member of the Suðurnes Health Institution Triage Team provides care to a simulated casualty during an artificial mass casualty scenario as part of exercise Northern Viking 26 at Keflavík Air Base, Iceland, Aug. 30, 2026. Icelandic medical responders trained alongside U.S. military medical personnel, Icelandic Coast Guard personnel and the Icelandic Suðurnes Rescue Team to practice triage, stabilization and transfer of care.
