FUJINOMIYA, Japan (Aug. 4, 2026) – Hikers celebrate reaching the summit of Mount Fuji during a Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Outdoor Recreation trip, Aug. 4, 2026. At 12,388 feet, the summit provides sweeping views above the cloud line for base community members completing the overnight trek. CFAY provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and more than 27,000 military and civilian personnel and their families.
