FUJINOMIYA, Japan (Aug. 3, 2026) – Community members from Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) pose for a group photo at Mount Fuji’s 5th Station before beginning their overnight trek to the 8th Station, Aug. 3, 2026. The trip, hosted by CFAY Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Outdoor Recreation, brought together base community members to challenge Japan's tallest peak. CFAY provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and more than 27,000 military and civilian personnel and their families.
