FUJINOMIYA, Japan (Aug. 3, 2026) – Hikers receive safety operational brief at Mount Fuji's 5th Station before starting their climb during a Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Outdoor Recreation trip, Aug. 3, 2026. Completion of a mandatory online safety briefing is required for all participants prior to embarking on MWR-sponsored climbs. CFAY provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and more than 27,000 military and civilian personnel and their families.
