FUJINOMIYA, Japan (Aug. 3, 2026) – Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) community members eat dinner inside Fujisan Hotel at Mount Fuji’s 8th Station, Aug. 3, 2026. Overnight hikers rest at the 8th Station hut before initiating a 1:30 a.m. night hike to reach the summit in time for sunrise. CFAY provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and more than 27,000 military and civilian personnel and their families.
