FUJINOMIYA, Japan (Aug. 3, 2026) – Hikers rest and receive custom wood-burn stamps on their traditional wooden hiking sticks at a mountain station along the trail during a Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR)-sponsored overnight climb of Mount Fuji, Aug. 3, 2026. Climbers collect distinct branding stamps at each station as a traditional souvenir marking their progression up the mountain. CFAY provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and more than 27,000 military and civilian personnel and their families.
