SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii – Wayne Bagwell, a Department of the Army civilian assigned to Army Field Support Battalion-Hawaii, evaluates turned-in ruck sacks and accompanying documentation at the Modernization, Displacement, and Repair Site (MDRS), Jan. 16, 2025. Bagwell gives a “shaka” hand sign to signal his station is ready to receive additional equipment from units participating in the 25th Infantry Division’s “Lightning Purge” effort. Operated by the 402nd Army Field Support Brigade, the MDRS supports Rapid Removal of Excess (R2E) operations to streamline modernization across the Indo-Pacific.
