SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii – Soldiers assigned to the 25th Infantry Division turn in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) protective masks and gear at the Modernization, Displacement, and Repair Site (MDRS), Jan. 16, 2025. Personnel from Army Field Support Battalion-Hawaii assist in reviewing documentation to ensure accountability and compliance during the intake process. Operated by the 402nd Army Field Support Brigade, the MDRS supports Rapid Removal of Excess (R2E) efforts and the 25th Infantry Division’s “Lightning Purge” initiative—unburdening units and accelerating modernization across the Indo-Pacific.
