Sgt. Cogen T. Nelson from Clermont, Fla., will compete in the 2012 Warrior Games in Colorado Springs, Colo., April 30-May 5. Nelson, 26, will compete in the Ultimate Champion competition. Nelson is a two-time team member and will compete for the Ultimate Champion title again this year. He describes sports as having a vital role in his recovery and believes that it shows the newly injured that there is hope in recovery. As a child, he was inspired by the super heroes of fiction and comic, but today he finds inspiration in Tim Tebow due to his work ethic, consistently positive outlook and devotion to his faith. More than 200 wounded, ill or injured service members from the Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Special Operations Command are scheduled to compete in the Paralympic-style competition.
