Marine veteran Dionisios Nicholas from Reseda, Calif., will compete in the 2012 Warrior Games in Colorado Springs, Colo., April 30-May 5. Nicholas, 49, will compete in shooting and swimming. He suffered a broken back and nerve damage while serving overseas. Nicholas served the Corps for more than 22 years. He is a two-time team member and had a solid performance at the Warrior Games last year. More than 200 wounded, ill or injured service members from the Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Special Operations Command are scheduled to compete in the Paralympic-style competition.
