Sgt. Curtis Terry of San Antonio, Texas, will compete in the 2012 Warrior Games in Colorado Springs, Colo., April 30-May 5. Terry, 28, will compete in archery and shooting. He was wounded in Fallujah, Iraq, in January 2006 by an improvised explosive device. As a result, he incurred a traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress. He is currently assigned to Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines in Columbus, Ohio. Terry said training for the Warrior Games has taken his mind off everyday life, allowing him the opportunity to have fun, relax and let his guard down without having to worry about anything. More than 200 wounded, ill or injured service members from the Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Special Operations Command are scheduled to compete in the Paralympic-style competition.
