On February 23, 2021 Fort Detrick introduced the Civilian and Health Promotion Program. The new program allows employees to take advantage of three hours per week to designate towards physical activity.
Units across Fort Detrick kicked off the Army Emergency Relief
Campaign on March 1. The campaign, which runs through May
15, provides financial relief to U.S. Army Soldiers, family members,
and retirees. In 2023, more than 30,000 Soldiers and retired
Soldiers received 60 million dollars in AER assistance, and
the campaign is one hundred percent funded through donations.

It was in the early morning hours on Tuesday, Dec. 12 when an alarm rang in the Fort Detrick Fire Department. Frederick County Fire and Rescue Services was requesting help with a reported 3- story building fire with possible entrapment in downtown Frederick, Md. As done many times before, Truck 50 quickly headed out the gate to assist.
