The KFOR Civil-Military cooperation team worked with the school district in the town of Leposavic to provide them with a log splitter to help heat the schools through the winter, Kosovo, Oct. 24, 2023. The primary school "Nazim Gafurri" served as the backdrop for an event
aimed at encouraging multiculturalism and unity among Kosovo's diverse ethnic communities.
The Kosovo Force Liaison Monitoring Team K-8 organized a program called "Building a
Multicultural Future" which brought together children from four different schools across Pristina.
Each school represented various ethnical backgrounds for a day of camaraderie, learning, and
celebration.

The Soldiers were deployed to Kosovo in support of Operation Joint Guardian, a NATO peacekeeping mission under the Kosovo Force (KFOR). KFOR’s mission is to provide a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement in Kosovo, in accordance with United Nations Resolution (UNSC) 1244.
